KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 25, 2026: A water supply pipe has been leaking under the pedestrian path in front of the Collector’s camp office for the past few days in Karimnagar town, but the MCK officials remain mute spectators.
The MCK officials are only concerned about encroachment of parking spaces and encouraging other traders and hawkers to do the same in the entire town, causing serious hardships and traffic snarls to the people of the town and vehicle owners in particular.

The precious filtered water is being wasted due to the leakages, but the MCK officials do not respond. With the temperature soaring and increasing water consumption of the water, it is time for the MCK authorities to ensure that they provide an adequate water supply to the residents of the town and check leakages instantly by constituting special teams and avoiding wastage of water.

Even before the onset of the summer season, the people of the town are facing problems due to inadequate and improper supply of water in Karimnagar town. In spite of the location of Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar, the people of the town are forced to go without drinking water during the summer season.
The majority of the residents have complained that the water supply was of low-pressure and they were unable to fetch the water. The residents, especially in high-level areas such as Vasudeva colony, Ameernagar and others, demanded that the MCK authorities increase the pressure of water supply so that they would fetch adequate water during the summer season.

The residents of Ameernagar (Fakirwada) are complaining that the MCK authorities were not providing adequate pressure of water supply. Besides, the advent of apartments and water supply to the apartments had reduced the pressure on the residents in fetching the water, they said, and they were forced to use motors to collect adequate water. They also reminded that without motors they cannot fetch at least a pot of water, following the low-pressure in the supply.
