KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 18, 2026: Erroju Venkateshwarlu, a poet, writer, and recipient of the Best Teacher Award, who is serving as the Head of the Telugu Department at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Nagunur, Karimnagar, has been honoured with the “Sahitya Shri” National Award by the Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan, Bhopal.
The award was presented in recognition of his literary contributions during the 34th National Conference jointly organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan and the Suman Chaturvedi Memorial Trust. The event was held at the Dushyant Kumar Memorial Manuscript Museum in Bhopal. The President and Secretary of the organisation, Veerendra Singh and Kriti Chaturvedi, stated that the award was conferred in appreciation of Venkateshwarlu’s dedicated literary service.

The award was presented to him by Padma Shri Vijay Dutt Sridhar, along with distinguished guests Ramvallabh Acharya and Yatindranath Rahi, under the presidentship of Raghunandan Sharma.
For the past thirty years, Venkateshwarlu has been an ideal teacher, imparting quality education to numerous students. He has been writing poetry, children’s songs, literary essays, and short plays for nearly thirty-five years. His works, including the free verse poetry collection “Black Board” and the “Yerroju Pasidi Paluku” Shatakam, have earned significant recognition in the literary field. He has also presented around fifteen research papers in various degree colleges.
On this occasion, college Principal T. Malathi, Vice Principal Padmaja, ACO Vasumathi, Superintendent Suresh Kumar, Shankaraya, Samatha, Radhika, and other faculty members congratulated him.
