Daily targets: 2.20 lakh tonnes of coal production, 2.40 lakh tonnes of coal transportation
Target of removing 15.5 lakh cubic meters of overburden
HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 04, 2026: Emphasising the need to achieve prescribed targets while giving top priority to quality, and noting that consumers now demand only quality coal, Singareni Chairman and Managing Director D Krishna Bhaskar instructed the General Managers of all areas to take all necessary measures in this direction.

On Tuesday evening, from Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad, he conducted a review meeting via video conference with company Directors and the General Managers of all areas, focusing on coal production, transportation, quality, and related issues.
Addressing the meeting, he stated that in today’s coal market, consumers are accepting only coal of the required quality. Therefore, rather than focusing merely on quantity, strong measures must be taken to improve coal quality standards. He made it clear that the future of the organisation depends on every officer and employee working diligently in this direction.
He observed that due to various reasons, the company has fallen slightly behind in achieving monthly production targets this year. However, he instructed that until the end of the current financial year, efforts must be made every day to achieve at least 2.20 lakh tonnes of coal production, 2.40 lakh tonnes of coal transportation, and the removal of 15.5 lakh cubic meters of overburden. During the meeting, the General Managers of various areas explained the ongoing production activities in their respective areas.
