RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JANUARY 24, 2026: The National Social Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Shatrajpalli, Vemulawada mandal, observed the 16th National Voters Day on Saturday.
The main objective of this programme was to create awareness among the youth about the importance of the right to vote, to inculcate democratic values, and to shape students into responsible citizens. On this occasion, students were administered the Voters’ Pledge. They were informed that every vote is valuable in a democratic system and that exercising one’s voting right is the fundamental duty of every citizen.

Addressing the gathering, College Principal K. Lavanya stated that the power to shape the future of the nation lies in the hands of the youth. She emphasised that democracy becomes stronger when every young woman exercises her right to vote.
The programme was attended by Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, Academic Coordinator S. Sandhya Rani, NSS Programme Officer V. Swapna, Council Members G. Swapna and G. Rajini, along with faculty members, NSS volunteers, and a large number of students, who together made the programme a grand success.
