KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 23, 2026: Vivekananda Residential School (VRS), the first CBSE School in the integrated Karimnagar district, celebrated the Vasanth Panchami with religious fervour and gaiety on the school premises in Karimnagar town on Friday.
The celebration commenced by paying obeisance to Goddess Saraswati during the morning assembly by Principal Renuka Balivada, School Advisory Committee member G Laxman Rao and others. It was followed by a divine rendition of ‘Saraswati vandana’ by the student choir. The programme was organised to mark the arrival of the spring season and to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom.

Later, the students presented a cultural programme highlighting the importance of the Vasanth Panchami. On this auspicious occasion, Chairman Dr Sudakar Rao Polsani, Director of Academics Dr T. Lalitha Kumari conveyed their heartfelt wishes to all students and staff, encouraging them to pursue knowledge, wisdom, and excellence in academics and life.
“This auspicious festival serves as a reminder of the cyclical nature of life, where the arrival of spring brings forth new beginnings, growth and abundance. Worshipping Goddess Saraswati, the embodiment of knowledge and art, inspires learning, creativity, and a fresh start,” said Principal Renuka, while addressing the students.

Mr Laxman Rao explained the importance of Vasant Panchami and highlighted the value of education, discipline, and culture in students’ lives. His speech inspired students to respect learning and teachers.
Following the speech, Class 1 and Class 2 students recited slokas with devotion, creating a spiritual and peaceful atmosphere. Their confident recitation was appreciated by teachers and students.
The programme concluded with a vibrant and colourful dance performance by students, which added joy and energy to the celebration and beautifully reflected the spirit of the festival.
