WARANGAL, JANUARY 13, 2026: The Association of Kakatiya University Teachers (AKUT) on Tuesday strongly condemned the suspension of Osmania University Teachers Association (OUTA) leader Prof. Manohar Rao, following his participation in a peaceful protest demanding the implementation of the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) for teachers.
OUTA has been staging demonstrations for the past 40 days, and its agitation has drawn support from the AKUT, with President Prof. B. Venkatarama Reddy and Secretary L.P. Raj Kumar condemning the suspension, terming it a violation of democratic principles and an affront to the dignity of the teaching community.
Calling for an amicable resolution, AKUT urged the Osmania University (OU) administration to revoke the suspension and engage in constructive dialogue. The association reiterated its commitment to safeguarding teachers’ rights and pledged full support to OUTA in its ongoing struggle.
