KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 08, 2026: Mr Anvith Agastya Chanda, a student from the Vishwanath Chess Academy in Karimnagar town, has secured 1468 International FIDE rating in Chess competitions conducted in Madurai of Tamil Nadu state, by Athens of The East International FIDE rating from December 24 to 30, 2025.
In a statement here on Thursday, Chess Academy Director A Vishwanath Prasad and Karimnagar District Chess Federation leader Ananthagiri Rajendra Prasad said that the FIDE had announced the international rating on January 1, 2026. They congratulated Anvith Agastya on his achievement and his parents, Apoorva and Prasad.
