TIRUMALA, NOVEMBER 07, 2025: Asserting that among the available darshan times in a day, priority is given to common devotees only, rather than the VIPs and ticket holders, said TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal.
The monthly Dial your EO program was held at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, where the TTD EO attended to 17 pilgrim callers during the one-hour-long live phone-in programme.
Answering the callers, the EO said, the tickets and tokens for Vaikuntha Ekadasi Dwara Darshan, which is scheduled from December 30 to January 08 for ten days, will be released after thoroughly verifying the possibilities of online and offline to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees, keeping in view the past experience.
“We are contemplating allocating tokens transparently and will inform the details soon once finalised”, he maintained.
When a couple of callers sought EO on allowing physically challenged devotees in the running queue lines without waiting, the EO informed them that TTD has already provided Srivari Seva volunteers to assist the physically challenged devotees to go for darshan without any inconvenience. He also said that the management has to ensure hassle-free darshan for all its devotees.
Similarly, the EO answered a few callers who suggested reducing the booking of online tickets, changes of timings in SSD tokens issue in Tirupati, SRIVANI tickets etc. “TTD takes decisions following the feedback it receives from the pilgrims. We see all the possibilities before taking any decision, keeping in view the majority opinions of the devotees, which we gather in the form of Surveys, WhatsApp messages, emails and letters. These decisions vary from time to time. Even today, in the available Darshan time, over 70% time is allotted to common devotees. However, he said the TTD Board has formed a committee to resolve the issues in various formats of darshan and ensure a hassle-free darshan to the devotees.
Answering a caller regarding the updates on the job Notification released in the engineering department in 2023. He said the issue will be resolved in 15 days.
The EO once again appealed to the devotees while answering a caller not to approach Dalaris and middlemen for Darshan tickets. Complaints are regularly received that some middlemen are cheating devotees by taking money. Do not trust the middlemen. The aim behind the introduction of SRIVANI is to avoid the middleman menace, besides utilising its funds towards the construction of Srivari temples in backward areas.
Other suggestions included on the prompt supply of the TTD monthly Sapthagiri Magazine to the subscribers, proper refunding of caution deposits, possibilities of commencing an Eye Bank by TTD and others.
The Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna, CEO SVBC Sri Phanikumar Naidu, CE Sri Satyanarayana and other officers were also present.
