
TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 30, 2025: A grand flower procession was held on Thursday for Pushpayagam in Tirumala. Nine tonnes of flowers & six types of leaves were donated, with contributions from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. 300 Srivari Sevaks carried the offerings in a colourful procession.
TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal said every year, the annual Pushpayagam is observed grandly in Tirumala. To waive off the sins committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the temple staff as well as the pilgrims, the Pushpayagam is performed.

Today, nine tonnes of 16 varieties of flowers, six types of leaves were donated by donors, which includes five tonnes from TN and two tonnes each from AP and Karnataka, he added.
Around 300 Srivari Sevaks carried each basket of flowers and leaves from the Garden department to the temple in a colourful procession. Mr Singhal said that the Pushpayagam was being celebrated at Tirumala since 15th century. However, it was later stopped revived in 1980s. Deputy EO Lokanatham, Horticulture DD Srinivasulu and others were aslo present.
