
Atla Srinivas Reddy Creates Awareness on Mental Health

KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 10, 2025: An awareness programme was grandly organised at Government Women’s Degree College, Karimnagar, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day under the presidency of Prof. D. Varalakshmi, Principal, and the supervision of B. Rajani Devi, Assistant Professor of Commerce. Prominent Rehabilitation Psychologist & Family Counsellor Atla Srinivas Reddy attended the programme as the chief guest and addressed the students on the importance of mental health on Friday.
Mr Atla Srinivas Reddy, in his insightful talk, stated that today’s students face enormous challenges such as exam stress, competitive environments, and anxiety, all of which disturb their mental balance. He emphasised that mental health should be regarded on par with physical health. He advised students to practice daily meditation, time management, positive thinking, and balanced nutrition to maintain peace of mind and emotional stability. He further highlighted that mental health awareness plays a vital role in students’ personality development and helps them cultivate a positive outlook on life. Faculty members J. Swapna, S. Sudhama, R. Satheesh Kumar, K. Anoosha, T. Krishnaveni, and Srujana, along with a large number of students, actively participated in the event.
