
JAGTIAL, SEPTEMBER 11, 2025: A grand programme was organised at Government Degree College for Women, Khodmukhtar, under the auspices of the Emirate-e-Millat Islamia Education Committee, Jagtial, and Bazm-e-Urdu Adab, Jagtial, to felicitate students for their outstanding academic performances.
The ceremony was presided over by the Principal of the college, Professor Rama Krishna, while the special guests were President Emirate-e-Millat Islamia, Jagtial, Muhammad Abdul Bari, President Bazm-e-Urdu Adab, Jagtial, Liaquat Ali Mohsin, President of the Education Committee, Muhammad Munemuddin and others.
On this occasion, eight students who secured first position in their degrees were presented with medals, mementoes and certificates by the Emirate-e-Millat Islamia Education Committee. These included students of BA, B.Com, B.Sc (MPC), Urdu and English medium. The students who received the award include Asna Takreem, Shifa Sadaf, Mehdi Falak, Umm Khadija, Aafia Sultana, Zeba Firdous, Nasira Begum and Samira Sultana.
At the same time, a speech competition was also organised by Bazm-e-Urdu Adab titled “Role of Muslims in the Freedom Movement”. A large number of students participated, and the three students who performed best were awarded prizes and certificates.
First prize: Rimsha Fatima (Rs. 3000), Second prize: Samina Sultana (Rs. 2000), Third prize: Samiya Sania (Rs. 1000). Furthermore, students Hajra Maheen, Areeba Shahwar and Nahanaz, who secured excellent ranks in Urdu in the Telangana State Common Post Graduation Entrance Test (TS CPGET), were awarded shawls, medals and mementoes.
The ceremony was conducted by Urdu lecturer Qasim Ali in a very pleasant manner. On this occasion, the teachers of the college, Assistant Professor of History Muhammad Abdul Rahim, Lecturer of Political Science Yasmin Sultana, Lecturer of Economics Irfana Begum, Lecturer of Computer Science Satyam Sir and others participated. Emirate of the Islamic Millet Education Committee workers Sheikh Naseem Ahmed, Muhammad Sajid Patwari, and Iftikhar Hussain were also present.
