
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (VRS), Karimnagar, celebrated Telangana Language Day was celebrated with great zeal and cultural fervour during the morning assembly, marking the birth anniversary of the eminent poet and freedom fighter Kaloji Narayana Rao on Tuesday.
The event began with a soulful rendering of Telugu songs followed by a vibrant dance performance by students that reflected the rich cultural heritage of Telangana. The performances captivated the audience and set the tone for a memorable celebration.
In his address, Mr. Gandra Laxman Rao, Advisory Committee Member of VRS, shared his personal experiences with Kaloji Narayana Rao. He recalled attending several meetings with the legendary poet and described Kaloji’s commitment to the Telugu language, culture, and public service. His speech left a lasting impression on the students, inspiring them to value their linguistic roots.
The school leadership also extended their greetings and words of encouragement. Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting regional languages as a part of cultural identity. Director of Academics Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari encouraged students to embrace Telugu literature and use the language to express creativity and thought. Principal Mrs. Renuka Balivada lauded the students’ enthusiasm and participation, highlighting how such events nurture respect for tradition alongside academic excellence.
The assembly concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to Telugu language and culture, encouraging students to learn more about great personalities like Kaloji Narayana Rao and their contributions to society.
