HYDERABAD, AUGUST 25, 2025: On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Singareni Director (Personnel Administration & Welfare) Gautam Potru appealed to all Singareni employees and officers to conduct pooja celebrations with eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols, thereby contributing their part towards environmental protection. On Monday, at Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad, he distributed clay Ganesh idols to employees and officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Potru said that Singareni, which has become synonymous with eco-friendly mining, has for the past few years been distributing clay idols so that its employees may celebrate Vinayaka Chavithi in an eco-friendly way. He urged all employees and their family members to celebrate the festival grandly with these clay idols. He added that idols made of Plaster of Paris cause water pollution in lakes and reservoirs after immersion, and that celebrating with clay idols not only prevents this pollution but also revives our traditional practices. The programme was attended by GM (Marketing) T. Srinivas and employees of Singareni Bhavan.
