KARIMNAGAR, JULY 20, 2025: The Children’s Islamic Organisation (CIO) Karimnagar successfully organised a city-level environmental rally under the “Hands in Soil, Hearts with India” campaign on Sunday (July 20, 2025_, as part of its nationwide One-Million Child Tree-Planting Movement.
The rally commenced from Geeta Bhawan at 10:00 AM and proceeded to the Collectorate, raising public awareness about the importance of tree plantation and the pivotal role of children in protecting the environment.
This initiative is part of the CIO’s nationwide effort to encourage one million children across India to plant and nurture trees between June 25 and July 26, 2025, aiming to instil responsibility, environmental consciousness, and a love for nature among children.
During the rally, CIO students Syeda Sheema Fatima, Syeda Musfirah, Arfa Khan, Rida Mahwish, Abdul Rahman, Afeera, Sidra Sarfaraz, and Hafsa Fathima addressed the participants, highlighting that CIO, as a national platform based on Islamic values, is committed to the all-around development of children. They emphasised that nurturing love for nature from childhood can inspire children to become agents of positive change in society.
“This campaign seeks to make tree plantation a joyful and meaningful act of national service while instilling a sense of responsibility and care for nature in children,” they shared.

Syeda Sidra Sarfaraz explained that the objectives of this campaign are clear and urgent: “Our earth is getting warmer, trees are disappearing daily, and air quality is declining. As forests vanish, our fight against climate change becomes increasingly difficult. CIO believes that children can play a vital role in reversing this trend. By planting and nurturing trees, children protect the earth and learn essential values like responsibility, care, and compassion.”
As part of the campaign, children are encouraged to give their planted tree a name, care for it as a friend, and document their journey through drawings, crafts, and poetry. Activities will include Green Pledge ceremonies, Friday sermons on environmental protection, and community plantation drives. Children gave the slogans like “Hands in soil, Hearts with India”, “Har bachcha ek ped”, “ped lagayienga hum CIO k sang” etc…
Mr. Sohaib Ahmad Khan, District President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Karimnagar, urged students, parents, teachers, school administrators, and community leaders to actively participate in the campaign, stating:
“Let us raise a generation that transforms love into action. Become heroes of the trees, become green ambassadors. We call upon media, educators, civil society, and environmental organizations to support this campaign. Let us make this more than a statistic—it should become a mission of earth stewardship led by children. Just imagine: if each child plants and nurtures a tree, we will have a million new trees, making our country greener and securing our future.”
CIO Karimnagar invites the community to join this movement, plant trees, protect the earth, and take pride in building a sustainable future.
