KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 01, 2025: A police constable from Kothapalli police station in Karimnagar town saved a young man from attempting suicide by stopping him as he was just climbing a water tank in Bahupeta on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
Police sources said that Nerella Sunny alias Dayasagar had argued with his family members and ransacked the house, and also tried to attack them. Later, he climbed over a water tank and threatened to commit suicide.
Following a call received on dial 100, the Kothapalli police station constable Vijay Rao rushed to the spot and counselled the youth and made him alight the water tank after talking to his family members. Karimnagar Rural ACP Shubham Prakash Nagrale, CI A Nirajanreddy, Kothapalli SI S Sambamurthy and others appreciated the constable Vijay Rao for his initiatives and saving a life.
