
Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Humpi Peetadhipathi Virupaksha Vidyaranka Swamy to attend in puja rituals
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar constructed the temple and made a popular temple shrine in the region
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 31, 2025: Sri Mahalakshmi temple in Chaitanyapuri colony in Karimnagar town is being spruced up for its 15th anniversary celebrations on Sunday.
Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Humpi Peetadhipathi Virupaksha Vidyaranya Swamy would conduct special homans and puja rituals to the temple deities Goddess Maha Durga, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi and others. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is the founder of the Mahashakthi temple, would also attend the celebrations.
It may be recalled that the temple was inaugurated on June 17, 2010, by Sri Jagadguru Vidyaranya Bharathi Swamy. Thanks to the patronage of the devotees, this temple shrine has emerged as a historic place for the devotees with the housing of three goddesses on the same premises.
The temple attained importance due to various rituals, and the devotees wear the Bhavani deeksha mala at this shrine during Dasara navarathri festivities. This temple shrine reverberates during the Navarathri festival with dandiya and other puja rituals.
The temple performs special pujas during Vijaya Dasami, Shivarathri, Vasantha Panchami, Sri Rama Navami, Naga Panchami, Ugadi, Deepavali, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Sri Rama Navami and other important festivals of Hindu calendar. They would also conduct mass Satyanarayana Swamy vrathams, special pujas such mass kum kum archana and other pujas during Sravana masam.
