
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 26, 2025: Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (JITS), Karimnagar, inaugurated a One-Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Recent Trends and Advancements in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing”, aimed at equipping faculty members with the latest developments in the field of Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence.
The FDP is being held from May 26 to 31, 2025, and features interactive sessions, expert lectures, and hands-on sessions delivered by eminent academicians and industry professionals.
The inaugural session was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. U.S.N. Raju, Associate Professor, NIT Warangal, who emphasised the growing significance of interdisciplinary research in various domains such as computer vision and natural language processing. He encouraged faculty to stay updated with technological trends and foster innovation in classrooms and labs.
The management, under the visionary leadership of Sri. J. Sagar Rao, Chairman, and Sri. Sumith Sai, Secretary of Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions, provided constant encouragement and inspiration to organise such faculty enrichment programmes.
Dr. T. Anil Kumar, Principal of JITS, stressed the importance of continuous faculty development to match the pace of technological advancement. Dr. K. Vaishali, Dean of Academics, extended her continuous support and motivation throughout the event.
In this event, Dr. R. Jagadesan, HoD CSE & Convener of the FDP, and the Coordinators Dr. A. Manjula, Dr. N Venkateswaran, and Dr. V. Neelima were instrumental in the smooth and successful execution of the event.
