HYDERABAD, JANUARY 24, 2025: The Telangana Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Hyderabad has signed a MoU with the Launch Girls, an NGO, to provide entrepreneurial skills and work readiness mindsets and skills specifically identified to equip adolescent girls to take charge of their future and successfully transition from college to work.
Launch Girls, the NGO, actively develops these core mindsets and skills across all Girl Boss Programming. Accordingly, the NGO offered three-day training to the selected lecturers of New Government Degree College, Golkonda, and GDC, Hussaini Alam, in the first week of January 2025.
The first spell of the training named, “LAUNCH GIRLS”, after successful completion, had a brief introductive session on January 23, 2025, on how to start the programme with the girls’ students each trained teacher is called GBA (Girl boss analyst) who train a batch of 30 to 35 students in 19 sessions within two months. At the end of the training,, the GBA and every student who attended the sessions would be awarded a certificate. The training for students is supposed to start in the first week of February.
The following faculty members have attended a three-day Girl Boss Training Programme organized by Launch Girls at Government Degree College for Women, Hussaini Alam, Hyderabad: B. Vijayalakshmi, Lecturer in Botany, N. Jayasree, Lecturer in Commerce, Bala Srinivas, Assistant Professor of Economics, Md. Manzoor Hussain, Associate Professor of Arabic, Kiran Mai, Assistant Professor of English, B. Vijay Kumar, Associate Professor of Hindi, P Ashok, Lecturer in Telugu, Rafia Tazeen, Lecturer in History, C. Yadhaiah Goud, Lecturer in Mathematics and Afroz Banu, Lecturer in Commerce.
Accordingly, the one-day training programme was conducted at the new GDCW Golconda Hyderabad for trainers and Ravali Pidaparthi and Jayavardhan, Programme Lead, Launch Girls, the NGO distributed material.
