KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 21, 2024: The air of gaiety and festivity was rife on the premises of the Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar town with the celebration of its 42nd Annual Day titled ‘Kalasmuruthulu’, unleashing the hidden talent with grandeur and enthusiasm at the school campus on Friday night.
Karimnagar Municipal Commissioner Chahat Bajpai was the chief guest, Dr Velichala Kondal Rao founder chairman of the school, senior physician and advisor of VRS Dr D Raghu Raman, eminent poet Dr Gandra Laxman Rao, VRS chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani, Director (Academics) Dr T Lalitha Kumari, Principal Renuka Balvida participated in the celebrations
The celebrations began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed by the presentation of the annual school report, which highlighted the students’ academic achievements and extracurricular accomplishments over the past year.
The 42nd Annual Day celebration, Kalasmruthulu – Unleashing Hidden Talents, showcased a vibrant theme-based cultural extravaganza, with a mesmerizing welcome performance dedicated to Lord Sri Ganesha, followed by captivating representations of various Indian dance forms, including Bihu, Bonalu, Bathukamma, Bhangra, and Telangana folk dances. Math-themed dance where students cleverly integrated mathematical concepts into their choreography.

A unique highlight of the evening was the tribute to Tollywood, where students recreated the iconic movements from the Telugu cinema through Dance and music. The vibrant costumes electrifying energy and nostalgic renditions earned thunderous applause from the audience.
The event was a perfect blend of education culture and entertainment leaving everyone with cherished memories.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. The celebrations were a true reflection of the vibrant and dynamic spirit of Vivekananda Residential School, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.
