KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 01, 2024: Karimnagar Graduates Constituency MLC T Jeevan Reddy along with Government Whip and Dharmapuri legislator Adluri Laxman Kumar urged the Telangana State Backward Classes Commission Chairman G Niranjan to provide reservations for the BCs in the ensuing local bodies’ elections along with reservations in education, employment and other welfare schemes.
The MLC along with the Government Whip met the Telangana state BC commission which visited Karimnagar town to conduct public hearings and collect opinions from various sections of society on Friday. In a memorandum submitted to the Commission, the MLC and the Government Whip said that the Constitution had provided reservations for the SCs and STs in local bodies elections and others sectors. Similarly, the reservations should be provided to the BCs in the ensuing local bodies’ elections, employment and education.
