KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 29, 2024: A three-member National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College for Boys, Karimnagar on 28th and 29th October 2024 for the first cycle of Accreditation for the college.
The peer team is headed by Prof Peruvalluthi V, Registrar of Thiruvalluvar University, as the chairperson and other members are Professor Suresh Kumar Sharma, Professor in Statistics of Punjab University as a member coordinator and Prof Vijaya Lakshmi T, Director of SDMS Mahila Kalasala, Vijawada as Member.
The Quantitative metrics of the accreditation process have already been completed with assessment of the Data Validation and Verification (DVV) and the Self Study Report (SSR) submitted online by the college to NAAC. The NAAC peer team visited various departments, other establishments and facilities on the TGTWRDC Boys to verify, validate, assess and score the institution in respect of the qualitative metrics as discussed by the college in its Self-Study Report (SSR).
During this assessment period of two days the peer team visited numerous academic departments, centres, library, labs, hostels, and other facilities. The team also interacted with various stake holders of the college such as students, Gurukulam OSD, faculty, parents, alumni and staff.
Prof.U.Umesh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Satavahana University, Karimnagar, has visited the college to meet Peer Team and extended his warm greeting to all college staff members.
The chairperson of the peer team expressed happiness regarding the high participation of stakeholders especially parents and alumni, which he said was unique among other educational institutions.
The peer team was also greeted with a cultural programme on 28th October 2024 where students of college performed folk songs, folk dances and folk drama at the seminar hall. The high light of the program was group dance performed by tribal students.
The visit ended with an exit meeting on 29th October where the peer team shared their experiences and feedback of the faculty members and staff of college. They have submitted a report of their assessment to NAAC in an online portal in presence of Dr.Venugopal Rao, the Principal, TGTWRDC (B) and V. Anvesh, IQAC Coordinator, TGTWRDC (B) as per the NAAC Guidelines.
