KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 19, 2024: The Irrigation authorities have announced to lift the floodgates to release 4,000 cusecs of water downstream into the river Manair following steady inflows into the project from upstream Mid Manair Dam and Sri Ram Sagar Project on Sunday morning.
In a press note here on Saturday evening, LMD colony executive engineer P Nagabushana Rao said that following the copious inflows into SRSP and its release into MMD and further into LMD, the authorities have decided to lift the floodgates of LMD reservoir in Karimnagar town on Sunday morning to release 4,000 cusecs of water downstream.
The EE has appealed to the people not to venture into the Manair river or graze the cattle and sheep.
