KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 30, 2024: In a shocking development, the BRS Karimnagar town unit had received a rude shock as the Karimnagar Commissionerate of police have opened a Rowdy-sheet against the Municipal corporator Jangili Sagar following the registration of several criminal cases against him including land grabbing and trespassing into the properties to other persons and terrorizing the people of the town.
According to Karimnagar rural ACP T Karunakar Rao, the police have opened a rowdy-sheet as per police manual 600-1 against the BRS municipal corporator. It may be recalled that in the year 2022, the BRS corporator Jangali Sagar had destroyed an under-house construction in Seetharampur colony in Karimnagar in the midnight by using bulldozers and created fear among the residents and victims of the land owners. During the period, then Minister for Civil Supplies and present Karimnagar legislator Gangula Kamalakar had protected him by ensuring that he was not arrested.
Present Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty, had taken swift action against the BRS municipal corporators after receiving complaints against them and already arrested two corporators viz Thota Ramulu and Jangili Sagar on the charges of land grabbing and terrorizing the people. The police said that more than five criminal cases were registered against the BRS corporator.
