NPDCL C&MD Varun Reddy distributes prizes to winners
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 10, 2024: The Karimnagar Team won the titles of the Inter-Circle Basketball and Table Tennis tournament of the Telangana Transco and Discoms Basketball and Table-Tennis competitions in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
In the final match conducted on Sunday, the Karimnagar team defeated the Khammam team in the Basketball competitions with 44-18 points under the captainship of ELP Raju, who played a crucial role in the victory of the Karimnagar team by scoring 18 points.
The Telangana Transco and Discoms basketball and table tennis competitions were held from November 8 to 10, 2024, in Karimnagar town. NPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Karnati Varun Reddy participated as chief guest and distributed prizes to the tournament winners. He also tried his hand at basketball and table-tennis.
On the occasion, Mr Varun Reddy congratulated the organisers and the teams for their successful participation in the competitions. He said that sports was a big stress buster from the hectic work schedule.
In the table-tennis competitions, integrated Karimnagar district secured first position, Warangal district second position and Hyderabad third. In the singles competitions, DK Laxman secured the first position. NPDCL Karimnagar SE M Ramesh Babu, Peddapalli SE B Sudarshanam, Jagtial SE E Saliya, Sports officer N Jagannatham, DEs, ADEs, sports council-manager Tirupati, GT Venkateshwarlu and others were also present.
