KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 29, 2025: Association of Alliance Clubs International district 137A, in association with Achievers Active High School, Vasudeva Hospital and Siddi Eye Care in Karimnagar town, inaugurated a two-day free eye check-up camp for the students on Saturday at Achievers School.
The organisers have set a target of treating more than 1,000 students even on Sunday. Alliance Clubs International Director and Vasudeva hospital founder Dr Elagandula Srinivas said that deficiency of eyesight is common among students these days due to lack of vitamin A and nutrition; therefore, all students must have fresh greens and good nutrition.
He said that in the earlier days, students used to find that he was visually impaired if he sat too close to watch TV. The main thing that the teachers must observe in the school is whether the students are looking at the blackboard and writing the information written on the blackboard, or the next student is looking at the book and writing. If the student next to him is looking in the book and writing notes, it means that he is visually impaired and has been asked to inform his parents about this.
He said that the main reason for this is that the more the use of mobile phones, the sooner the student becomes prone to eye problems. District governor and Achievers School Director Ch Venkateshwarlu, Dr Y Jyothi, district Alliance leaders Kola Anna Reddy, Kumara Swamy, Nageshwar, K Mahesh, Nazia, Renuka, and others were also present.
The mega medical camp will continue today and tomorrow as well, and these free examinations will be conducted for around 1000 students of the Achievers School, he said. All the students should take advantage of this opportunity.
