KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 21, 2024: Chahat Bajpai assumed charge as the new Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar (MCK) in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
Upon taking office, she assured transparent governance and that she would resolve the problems of people under the jurisdiction, regarding drinking water, roads, sanitation and any other prevalent issues in the city. She said that she would further take up the development of Karimnagar town under Smart City and other grants. She also held a meeting with the officials of MCK and instructed them to work in coordination.
After taking charge, Additional Collector (local bodies) Praful Desai, MCK additional commissioner Suvartha, Deputy Commissioner Swaroopa Rani, Assistant Commissioner Venu Madhav and other department officials welcomed the new Municipal Commissioner by presenting her flower bouquet and plants. She also met Mayor Y Sunil Rao and inquired about the progress of various developmental works in the town.
