
HYDERABAD, AUGUST 19, 2025: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have trapped a Tahsildar and Mandal Surveyor of Amangal mandal in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour.
Sources said that Tahsilda Chintakindi Lalitha and mandal Surveyor Kota Ravi had demanded Rs 50,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour for completing land registration and as undue advantage to facilitate topographical corrections in land records pertaining to complainant’s grandmother. The Tahsildar Lalitha had already accepted Rs 50,000 from the complainant.
In another incident, a senior assistant of Tandur Municipality of Ranga Reddy was caught by ACB for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant for doing official favour.
The ACB said that Senior Assistant B Ramesh demanded a bribe for allocating a house number to the shed constructed by the complainant in his land in Tandur. The ACB officials informed people to dial tollfree number 1064 if any government demands bribe for doing official works.
