WARANGAL, MARCH 07, 2025: Agricultural College, Warangal, Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University, felicitated women entrepreneur P Latha Reddy from Huzurabad town of Karimnagar district for emerging as a role model for the empowerment of the womenfolk in the state.
On the eve of the International Women’s day celebrations, the Agricultural College conducted an awareness programme on women’s safety and anti-ragging on Friday. Warangal Barosa centre legal support officer Ch Neeraja was the chief guest, and College associate dean A Venkat Reddy and others participated in the celebrations to felicitate P Latha Reddy. The speakers spoke about the success story of women entrepreneurs and helping other womenfolk to set up their entrepreneurs and earn a decent living.
P Latha Reddy explained how she had set up a Saree rolling and polishing unit and helped in providing employment to several other womenfolk and emerged as an entrepreneur and also provided training to young womenfolk to set up the units for their self-employment. On this occasion, she also participated in the cutting of cake and the distribution of prizes and certificates to the outstanding students who excelled in various competitions.
