RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 08, 2026: Students and faculty members of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Shatrajpalli, Vemulawada temple town, celebrated International Women’s Day grandly on Sunday.
As part of the celebrations, students organised various cultural programs and showcased their talents through dances, songs, and speeches, which entertained the audience.
On this occasion, College Principal K Lavanya spoke about the importance of women’s empowerment to the students. She also highlighted the achievements of women in various fields and encouraged the students to move forward with confidence to achieve their goals. She also congratulated the students and sportspersons who achieved success in various departments of the college and appreciated their accomplishments.
Vice Principal B Sumalatha, Academic Coordinator S. Sandhya Rani, Cultural Committee Coordinator G. Swapna, Staff Secretary G. Rajini, other faculty members, and students actively participated in the programme.

Praja Palana –Pragathi Pranalika third day programme
Furthermore, as part of the government’s prestigious “Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika” program, Day–3 activities focusing on Drinking Water and Sanitation were conducted at the college.
Under this initiative, students and staff carried out the cleaning of water tanks and water purifiers to ensure safe and hygienic drinking water on the college campus. In addition, a toilet and bathroom sanitation drive was organised to promote cleanliness and hygiene among students.
The activities were conducted under the supervision of Poojitha, BDT Faculty, who served as the in-charge for the Day–3 program. Students actively participated in the drive and contributed towards maintaining a clean and healthy campus environment.
