JAGTIAL, MARCH 06, 2026: As part of the “99 Days Prajaa Palana Pragati Pranalika” initiative launched by the Government of Telangana, a “Clean and Green Campus Programme” was organised at SKNR Government Arts and Science College, Jagitial, under the spirit of the National Cadet Corps and National Service Scheme on Friday.
On this occasion, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers actively participated in a Swachh Bharat awareness and cleanliness drive across the college campus. The participants carried out several activities, including the removal of plastic waste, the collection of scattered papers, the clearing of dry leaves, and the overall sanitation of the campus environment, contributing to the vision of a clean, green, and eco-friendly educational environment.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about environmental responsibility, cleanliness, and sustainable campus practices. Through this initiative, students were encouraged to develop civic responsibility and contribute to community welfare in line with the goals of the Prajaa Palana programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Ashok appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff. The Principal emphasised that such activities not only help maintain campus cleanliness but also instil discipline, teamwork, and social responsibility among students.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of NCC Officer Lt Parlappalli Raju and with the support of the college faculty members Ankam Goverdhan, Librarian K. Surendher, K. Srinivas, Rajitha, G Mahesh, Divyarani, Pramod, Naresh, Swaruparani, Kavitha, Supriya, P. Srinivas, and Gattaiah.
Non-teaching staff members Prabhu and Rajaiah, along with NCC cadets and NSS volunteers, actively participated in the programme and contributed to making the campus clean and green.
The college administration expressed gratitude to all participants for their sincere involvement and reaffirmed its commitment to organising more such environmental awareness and cleanliness programmes in the future.
