BRS MLA moving closely with BJP and neglecting the plight of people of his constituency affected during the heavy rains and floods
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04, 2024: Congress party Karimnagar parliament constituency incharge Velichala Rajender Rao has alleged that Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar is making a beeline to New Delhi to appease Union Minister for Home Amit Shah in the wake of Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases against him over evading taxes about the export of the granite from his quarry in Karimnagar district.
In a statement here on Wednesday, Mr Rajender charged that the BRS MLA Gangula Kamalakar was moving closely with the BJP to protect himself from the ED cases and the possible arrest for evading taxes to the tune of crores of rupees and granite quarry scandal. He ridiculed the Karimnagar MLA for staying in New Delhi when the people of his constituency were facing problems due to the heavy rains and floods due to his unscientific execution of Smart City works by converting broad roads into narrow roads and further causing troubles to the people of the town.
Where is Gangula Kamalakar, the local MLA, when the people of his Karimnagar Assembly constituency are reeling under the flood waters, he questioned. He warned the Karimnagar legislator to mend his ways and false statements when the people of Khammam town had expressed their ire against the BRS for encroachments and causing inundation of the town.
He alleged that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had never visited the damaged fields or consoled the families affected by the rains and floods during their 10-year rule. Even after several people have been killed due to heavy in his assembly constituency, the former CM is confined to his farmhouse and has not even consoled the bereaved families, he charged.
He alleged that the Khammam town was inundated following the encroachment of tanks, and buffer zone of several tanks and lakes by the BRS leader Puvvada and his henchmen. He charged that the BRS government had encroached on several government lands during its 10-year regime.
Stating that the HYDRAA was removing several encroachments in Hyderabad, he said that the KADRAA would be constituted in Karimnagar district also and remove all encroachments taken up during the BRS regime.
He also ridiculed that BRS legislator Kamalakar for dancing in front of Tihar jail when BRS MLC Kavitha was released on bail. He asked what great thing the MLC had done to be lodged in jail and the BRS dancing during her release from the jail.
