JAGTIAL, DECEMBER 29, 2025: The Jagtial district officials organised a condolence meeting on Monday on the premises of the Collectorate to pay tributes to District Medical and Health Officer Dr Akula Srinivas, who died of a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Saturday.
Dr Srinivas had recently taken charge as DMHO following the transfer of his predecessor on deputation. Earlier, he had served as a programme officer in the health department. Collector Satyaprasad, Additional Collector BS Latha, Additional DMHO Dr Srinivas, RDO, Deputy Collector Harini, district officials, DMHO staff were also present and paid rich tributes to Dr Srinivas. They also observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect.
A native of Jagtial Town, Dr Srinivas was well known among local residents and had close links with various sections of society.
Medical and health department officials, members of walker associations, and political leaders expressed deep shock and grief over his sudden demise.
