HYDERABAD, JULY 05, 29025: Dr Mudili Vasantha Rao has received the Medical Excellency Award-2025 with the Indian Red Cross Society at a programme organised in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Hyderabad Collector Hari Chandana and others presented the award.
Dr. Mudili Vasantha Rao completed his M.B.B.S. from Kakatiya Medical College (1986–1991). He later pursued his M.D. in Anesthesiology from Osmania Medical College (1995–1998). In addition, he completed fellowship courses in Clinical Cardiology and Diabetology. Between 1992 and 1993, he served as a Junior Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at CKM Hospital, Warangal.

Dr. Mudili Vasantha Rao joined the Government Medical Services in June 1998 and has served in various key positions, including:

Notable Contributions
Between 1998 and 2004, Dr. Mudili Vasantha Rao actively contributed to Double Puncture Laparoscopic (DPL) sterilization surgeries for women in the erstwhile Karimnagar district. During his tenure at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Choppadandi Mandal, he single-handedly performed and managed more than 700 Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS) operations in remote place like choppadandi community Heath centre. People comes from Choppadandi,Ramadugu, Gangadhara mndals operations for poor and needy patients, serving simultaneously as anesthesiologist, surgeon, and pediatrician also with medical officers and staff. Remarkably, no cases of morbidity or mortality were reported during these procedures.
