Gadkari Responds Positively
Bandi also Requests High-Level Bridge Construction on the Manair River
NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 18, 2024: To improve transportation facilities in the villages of the Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday appealed to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to sanction ₹224 crore under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). He submitted a formal request in this regard in Delhi.
During the meeting, Bandi Sanjay brought several issues related to the development of rural roads and bridges in the Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency to Gadkari’s attention. He specifically proposed upgrading single-lane roads to double-lane roads, including:
A 15 km stretch from Keshavapatnam to Saidapur via Papayyapalle.
A 30 km stretch from Kodimyala to Tandriyal via Govindaram.
A 45 km stretch from Arnakonda in Choppadandi Mandal to Malyala Crossroads via Gopal Rao Peta.
A 15 km stretch from Narayanapur in Ellareddypeta Mandal to Ramreddypalle in Mustabad Mandal via Singaram.
Additionally, he requested the construction of a high-level bridge over the Manair River on the Gundlapalli Pothur Road (km 18/0-2) and Bawupeta Khajipur stretch (km 2/0-2) in Karimnagar District.
Bandi Sanjay’s proposal includes the construction of the high-level bridge and the expansion of roads covering a total of 90 km, requiring ₹224 crore in funding. Union Minister Gadkari responded positively and assured Bandi Sanjay that an appropriate decision would be made soon.
