
‘HYDERABAD, JUNE 17, 2025: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Hyderabad, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, organised a special workshop titled “Yoga for Health” at CGO Towers, Kavadiguda, Hyderabad. The workshop was conducted by Dr. S. Vaishnavi, BNYS, VYRI, from Nature Cure Hospital, Hyderabad
The session witnessed active participation from nearly 50 journalists representing various media houses in Hyderabad. The workshop aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being among media professionals, with a special focus on women’s health issues.

Ms Shruti Patil, Additional Director General, PIB Hyderabad, delivered the opening remarks and welcomed the participants. She emphasised the importance of incorporating holistic health practices such as yoga into daily life, especially for professionals in demanding fields like journalism. Dr. Vaishnavi led the session with practical demonstrations of yoga techniques beneficial for women’s health.
During the session, Dr. Vaishnavi highlighted the importance of pranayama and asanas in addressing daily health issues. She demonstrated simple breathing techniques like Nadi Shodhana, Bhramari, and Anulom Vilom for stress relief and emotional well-being, along with gentle stretches to ease back pain, improve digestion, and support hormonal balance. She emphasised regular practice, mindfulness, and natural living for sustained wellness. Participants engaged enthusiastically in the session and appreciated the initiative for its relevance and usefulness.
The event also served as a curtain-raiser to the upcoming International Day of Yoga on June 21, celebrated worldwide under the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose efforts have positioned yoga as a globally recognised practice for holistic health
