KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 12, 2026: On the eve of World Haemophilia Day, which would be celebrated on April 17, the medical officials of the government hospital in Karimnagar town conducted an awareness camp and medical for the treatment of Haemophilia patients at the district headquarters in Karimnagar town on Sunday.
The programme was aimed at educating patients about haemophilia—a genetic bleeding disorder that affects the blood’s ability to clot properly. The doctors explained that haemophilia is a serious inherited condition caused by the lack of essential clotting factors in the blood, leading to prolonged or uncontrolled bleeding even from minor injuries. “The goal of this event is to raise awareness, especially in rural and semi-rural areas, where early diagnosis and treatment can be lifesaving,” they stated.
Deputy Mayor Y Sunil Rao, hospital superintendent Dr Veera Reddy, RMO Dr Naveena, Dr Venkateshwaralu Citi hospital Dr Venkat Reddy. Haemophilia district chapter leaders Dr Srinivas, Ramprasad, Harish, Mahesh, Sai and others were also present.
