RAMAGUNDAM, JANUARY 08, 2026: The Winter Ceremony of the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2026 was formally inaugurated with great enthusiasm on Thursday at the EDC Hall, NTPC Ramagundam. The programme marked the formal commencement of the winter session of GEM 2026, an initiative aimed at empowering young girls from nearby communities through education, skill development, and confidence-building activities.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Rakhi Samanta, President of Deepthi Mahila Samithi, who formally launched the programme by distributing GEM Kits to the participating students. The distribution of kits symbolised NTPC’s continued commitment towards nurturing the holistic development of young girls and encouraging them to pursue their aspirations with confidence.
The students received the GEM Kits with visible excitement and enthusiasm, setting a positive and energetic tone for the month-long programme ahead. The inaugural session highlighted the core objectives of GEM 2026, focusing on empowerment through learning, exposure, and value-based education.
