Corporate Medical Services to Be Streamlined
CMD N. Balram Directs Officials for Quick Action During “Dial Your CMD”
HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 23, 2024: The “Dial Your CMD” programme, launched on Saturday by SCCL Chairman & Managing Director N. Balram, intended to directly receive issues and suggestions from employees and their family members, received strong participation from several areas of Singareni. About 40 workers interacted with the CMD over the phone and raised matters related to welfare, workplace requirements and production improvement.
Speaking on the occasion, the CMD announced that a WhatsApp number will soon be introduced to enable workers to report grievances and seek quicker resolutions. He stated that a system will be put in place to ensure timely action on such issues.
He added that approval processes in corporate medical services will be further streamlined to avoid delays. He also informed that plans are underway to establish a Corporate Hospital in Hyderabad to provide improved medical care for employees. A Cath Lab at the Ramagundam Area is also being set up and will be launched shortly.
The CMD noted that several suggestions offered by employees for improving underground coal production were valuable and instructed the concerned officials to take necessary action. He also mentioned that the matter of promotions for EP Fitters will be discussed with the respective departments. Directions were issued to the Civil Department to improve amenities in employees’ residential quarters. He announced that the Medical Board meeting will be held later this month.
Responding to concerns regarding absenteeism, the CMD advised employees to support and counsel their colleagues wherever needed.
Employees extended their thanks to the CMD for providing a platform to speak with him. The programme, initially scheduled from 4 PM to 5 PM, continued until 6 PM due to the active response received.
