
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 15, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, continues to uphold its legacy of excellence with students securing remarkable victories across diverse sporting disciplines, including Judo, Kabaddi, Chess, and Rope Skipping.
In the South Zone Judo Championship-2025, held in Tamil Nadu, VRS athletes displayed tremendous grit and skill. A. Hruday Kumar of Class XII won the Bronze Medal in the Under-19 category. Adding to the school’s pride, Ranveer Singh of Class XII, P. Megha Reddy of Class X, M. Sudhiksha of Class VIII, and N. Sameera of Class VI each clinched Silver Medals in their respective categories and have been selected for the Nationals, marking an outstanding achievement for the school’s Judo contingent.
In a thrilling display of teamwork and determination, the Under-19 Girls Kabaddi Team secured the Bronze Medal at the CBSE South Zone Cluster VII Kabaddi Tournament–2025, held at SR Vidyanikethan International School, Jogulamba Gadwal District, Telangana. The team’s unwavering spirit and disciplined performance earned them a well-deserved place on the podium.
Adding another feather to the school’s cap, D. Bhavya Sai of Grade IX brought home the Silver Medal in the Telangana Rope Skipping Championship 2025, held on 12th July 2025 in Hyderabad, organized by the Telangana Rope Skipping Association under IRSF. His agility, dedication, and competitive spirit made this achievement truly commendable. We are proud of his remarkable accomplishment and wish him continued success in future endeavours.
On the cerebral front, VRS students exhibited sharp minds and calm focus at the 3rd All India Open and Junior Chess Tournament 2025, organised by Genius Chess Academy, Karimnagar, under the guidance of the Karimnagar District Democratic Chess Association. D. Abhiraama of Grade IX secured the Gold Medal in the Under-14 category, while in the Under-10 category, Vaibhav Chanakya Rao of Grade IV clinched the Gold Medal. S. Manindar Singh of Grade VIII also earned a Bronze Medal in the Under-14 category, rounding off an impressive medal tally in the game of kings.
The Chairman, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani, Director (Academics), Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, and Principal, Mrs. Renuka Balivada, extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the achievers.
