

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 28, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar celebrated National Science Day, recalling the remarkable contributions of Sir CV Raman and acknowledging the pivotal role of science in our society, on Friday (February 28, 29025).
The celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp by Principal Renuka Balivada and Headmistress Anitha. They paid floral tributes to Sir CV Raman, who had discovered the ‘Raman effect’ on this day in 1928. For his discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.
On this occasion, the students enthusiastically participated in the science exhibition by displaying their models and discussing their functioning. The students showcased their scientific acumen and creativity in the Science expo.
Principal Renuka said India had made an immense contribution to the fields of science, technology and innovation. She said the VRS was committed to development of scientific temperament and observational skills among students.
All the science teachers were present with the students while they discussed their models. School Chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani and Director (Academics) Dr T Lalitha Kumari appreciated the students for coming forward with the interesting projects and the teachers who have been their constant support.
