MCK should ensure that there are open urinals on the premises which was existed for decades
It is surprising to note that the cement chairs set up on the premises were removed as some officials felt that the people were not raising, and they were sitting on the chairs
The officials should remember that they are only civil servants and benefit the people, and do not cause harm to the four-decade-old Collectorate
Imagine the situation with all the offices housed in rented buildings in private premises are relocated into the Collectorate office with the vehicular population
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 13, 2025: The Collectorate office has turned into a concrete jungle with the illogical and visionless officials of MCK, who have encroached the Collectorate parking place, causing parking woes on the premises in Karimnagar town.
The MCK officials, who are acting as per their whims and fancies, due to the negligent attitude of district officials, are causing more harm to the first integrated Collectorate office of the integrated Andhra Pradesh state, constructed some 40 years ago. Though there are vehicle parking sheds opposite the State Bank of India branch on the Collectorate, MCK has encroached the parking and taken plantation of saplings and even erected fencing around it. Due to the non-availability of parking space, the vehicle owners are forced to park on the roads, causing inconvenience following the inefficient MCK officials.
Ironically, the MCK officials had removed the open urinals, which were constructed some decades ago and forced the people to urinate on the premises only. This had irked some officials and taken up plantation for the obvious reason to deny visitors and parking of vehicles, but they should remember they would urinate in the open if they erect fencing around plantations.
It is high time, the MCK officials stop taking up plantation of saplings on the parking space and cause chaos without parking space in the future. If the prajavani programme alone had caused traffic woes on the premises, imagine if there is a meeting of the District Review Committee of the integrated Karimnagar with the arrival of Ministers, MLAs, MPs and other dignitaries and the district officials.
The officials should remember that they would not remain permanent in Karimnagar except for the people of the town. And they should stop the unscientific plantation of saplings on the parking place and denying parking of vehicles, when the vehicular population is increasing due to the advent of EV vehicles.
It is also surprising to note that the cement chairs set up in front of the Collectorate office for the benefit of the visitors were removed as some of the MCK officials’ irritated after seeing the people sitting on the chairs. It is also time for the District officials to take necessary action and discourage MCK from entering the Collectorate. Instead, the officer should take up plantation by opening Helipad park to provide lung space.
