Mr Bandi Sanjay Kumar first launched his maha padayatra to Kondagattu shrine from Karimnagar town after winning the Karimnagar parliament constituency elections in June 2019.
KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 10, 2026: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has decided to embark on a ‘Maha padayatra’ (Anjanna Ashirvada Yatra) from Sri Mahashakthi temple in Karimnagar town to Sri Anjaneya Swamy devasthanam in Kondagattu on March 14, along with the newly elected BJP local bodies’ representatives of his Karimnagar parliament constituency.
The Maha Padayatra would begin at 7 am on March 14 and reach Kondagattu temple shrine at around 4 pm after traversing through 40 kilometers distance. The newly elected local bodies representatives would offer prayers to Lord Hanuman for their election to serve the society. More than 10,000 BJP rank and file would participate in the padayatra.
The local bodies representatives, including sarpanches, upa-sarpanches, ward members, Municipal councillors, Corporation corporators, Mayor, Deputy Mayor and others. It may be mentioned here that the Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, during an election camaign in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, promised to visit the Kondagattu temple shrine, if BJP attains power in MCK by conducting a padayatra along all the elected representatives of his constituency.
The BJP has entrusted the responsibilities to senior leaders Dr Gangidi Manohar Reddy and Bandari Shanthi Kumar, Mohan Reddy, district presidents G Krishna Reddy, Reddaboina Gopi, Karimnagar parliament convenor and corporator Boinpalli Praveen, Mayor Kolagani Srinivas, Deputy Mayor Y Sunil Rao and others, who were taking all measures for the success of the maha padayatra.
The party rank and file and other frontal organisations are taking all measures to accord a grand welcome to the Maha padayatra by offering ‘harathies’ and the hurling of flowers. The arrangements were also being made for the distribution of water packets, buttermilk and pulihora and other snacks to all the participants of the yatra.
