KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 18, 2026: Ugadi, the Telugu New Year Festival, was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety at Manair Educational Institutions in Karimnagar town with religious fervour and gaiety on the eve of the festival on Wednesday.
The festival of Ugadi also welcomes the spring season when nature seems to be immersed in the festive mood and new leaves and new buds, along with the fresh breeze of spring, manifold Ugadi spirit.
Embracing the sweetness of tradition, the zest of a new beginning, and the spice of celebration, Manair High School welcomed the Telugu New Year, Ugadi, with great joy and splendour. The school was embellished with mango leaves and flowers. The tiny tots adorned themselves in their traditional attire; they celebrated heritage and embraced the values of unity and togetherness that lie at the heart of this cherished festival.
The programme began with a song, and they learned about the making of Ugadi pachadi, symbolizing the six tastes—sweet, sour, bitter, tangy, and spicy. These beautifully conveyed flavours of life enrich young minds with timeless wisdom.
School Chairman Kadari Anantha Reddy conveyed Parabhava Namaa Samvastra Telugu New Year wishes to everyone and emphasised the importance of such festivities in fostering cultural appreciation, creativity, and community spirit among students. Director K Sunitha Reddy, principal, vice principals and faculty members were also present.
