HANAMKONDA, APRIL 09, 2026: The two-day National Seminar organised by the Department of Commerce, Kakatiya Government College (Autonomous), Hanamkonda, concluded today, as announced by the Principal, Prof. G. Srinivas, and the Convenor, Prof. D. Rajashekar.
The seminar was conducted on the theme “Innovating Commerce and Business for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth: FinTech, MSMEs and Green Strategies in India.” It featured insightful lectures and paper presentations on key areas such as business innovation, adoption of emerging technologies, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), recent technological developments in the banking sector, mobile banking, green economy, and sustainable growth.
The valedictory session, held in the evening, was graced by Prof. Srivastava from the University of Hyderabad as the Chief Guest. Prof. Narasimha Chari and Prof. Chandramouli attended as Guests of Honour.
In his address, Prof. Srivastava emphasized that India’s vision to become a developed nation and achieve a five-trillion-dollar economy by 2047 is a highly ambitious goal that requires collective effort. He stressed that ensuring basic necessities for every citizen is essential and highlighted the long-standing role of small-scale enterprises in strengthening the Indian economy.
He further stated that businesses today must go beyond profit-making and take responsibility for society and environmental sustainability. He noted that the Government of India has initiated several green initiatives and urged individuals to contribute by conserving water and reducing unnecessary electricity consumption.
In the first technical session of the day, Prof. D. Ramesh Babu from SR University delivered a keynote address, providing a detailed explanation of the process of obtaining Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for academicians.
The subsequent session on “Green Economy and Sustainable Practices” was chaired by Dr. Gopala Sudarshanam, who explained the responsibilities and precautions that industries and business organizations must adopt for environmental protection. The session was coordinated by Prof. Ravikanth, G. K. Kumar, and Shiva Naga Srinivas.
Another session on “Financial Literacy and Growth of MSMEs” was chaired by Prof. Rajesham, with Rahul serving as the resource person. Dr. Gangishetti Srinivas and Umadevi acted as coordinators. During the session, it was highlighted that financial literacy in India stands at only 27%, which is a matter of concern, and emphasized the need for collective efforts to improve it.
The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members including Ravikumar (Staff Club Secretary), J. Chinna, Shiva Naga Srinu, Yakub, Umadevi, Anil Kumar, B. Srinivas, Gangishetti Srinivas, Naveen, Vinay, Balachander, Madhav Shankar, Sunitha, Vandana, and others.
