80 counters and 394 staff provide round-the-clock services in three shifts
TIRUMALA, MARCH 18, 2026: To provide convenient facilities to the lakhs of devotees visiting Tirumala for the darshan of Sri Venkateswara, TTD has made elaborate arrangements of Luggage Deposit and Delivery Centres, which are widely established and are being efficiently managed to ensure the safe custody of devotees’ baggage, bags, and mobile phones.
At present, a total of 80 counters have been set up across Tirumala and along the footpaths, with 394 staff members rendering services in three shifts round the clock.
The devotees can securely deposit their luggage at these centres without any concern while proceeding for darshan.

Special facility for Footpath Devotees:
A large number of devotees reach Tirumala on foot via Alipiri and Srivari Mettu pathways every day.
TTD has made special arrangements for them by setting up dedicated deposit centres.
At Alipiri footpath, 7 counters with 46 members in three shifts and with a baggage capacity to the tune of 10,194 has been functioning while at Srivari Mettu, 2 counters are available where devotees can deposit upto 3,025 luggage and with 10 members working round the clock to collect and conveniently dispatch at designated delivery centres in Tirumala.
This facility enables footpath pilgrims to continue their journey without the burden of carrying heavy luggage.

Multiple Deposit Centres across Tirumala:
For the convenience of devotees arriving at Tirumala, TTD has established deposit centres at several key locations:
– Free Hall
– Narayanagiri sheds
– Rs.300 Darshan Hall
– Divya Darshan Hall
– Vaikuntham Queue Complex scanning centres
Devotees can deposit both luggage and mobile phones at these centres before proceeding for darshan.
Additionally, for the convenience of devotees offering hair tonsure, three luggage deposit and delivery centres have been set up near Kalyanakatta.
Facilities are also available at:
– Supatham counter
– Special counters for senior citizens and differently-abled devotees
– Counters near the main gate of Vaikuntham Queue Complex–1
Luggage Delivery Centres in Tirumala
To retrieve deposited luggage, several delivery centres are operational at locations such as:
– GNC
– TBC
– PAC–4 counters
Devotees can easily collect their belongings by presenting the token issued at the time of deposit.
Heavy usage during festivals:
These facilities are widely utilized by devotees, especially during major festivals like Vaikuntha Ekadasi, Garuda Seva, and Ratha Saptami besides Summer holidays.
In January 2026 alone, a total of 10,44,268 deposits were recorded.
On January 25 on the day of Ratha Saptami, 1,34,749 deposits were recorded in a single day.
Every month, lakhs of devotees benefit from this facility, enabling them to have a peaceful and hassle-free darshan of Sri Venkateswara.
Appeal to Devotees
TTD appeals to all its devotees visiting Tirumala to make use of the official luggage deposit centres to safely store their heavy luggage, bags, and mobile phones, and to collect them properly through the token issued to them.
