JAGTIAL, JANUARY 06, 2026: Under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), Krishi Sakhis (Agriculture Sakhi) were trained on natural farming with the objective of empowering rural women through skill development in eco-friendly farming practices in Jagtial on Tuesday.
The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of Krishi Sakhis—grassroots-level women agriculture workers in promoting sustainable and chemical-free agriculture. District Agriculture Officer V Bhaskar, District Nodal Officer S Srinivas, Janavikas Rural Development Society CEO P Sampath Kumar and others enlightened on the objectives and importance of the training, highlighting the need for adopting natural farming techniques to enhance soil health, reduce input costs, and improve the livelihoods of small and marginal farmers in the
They empowered about the use and preparation of bio-inputs such as Jeevamrutha or Beejamrutha, help farmers transition from chemical-based farming to Natural Farming (NF), eliminating expensive chemical fertilizers and pesticides, using organic matter to restore soil microbial activity, natural farming techniques often improve the soil’s water-retention capacity.
