RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 06, 2026: Students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Shatrajpalli, Vemulawada temple town, launched the 10-day cleanliness and wellness drive as part of the Telangana government’s flagship programme on ‘Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika’ on the college premises on Friday.
The programme will be conducted on the college campus from March 06 to March 16, 2026. The main objective of this initiative is to maintain a clean and green campus and to create awareness among students about hygiene, health, and environmental protection.
Various activities are planned for each of the ten days. On the first day, a committee was formed to coordinate the programme. The second day focuses on scrap and waste inspection, while the third day is dedicated to water management and sanitation awareness. On the fourth day, special attention will be given to the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining hall.
On the fifth day, a Swachh Campus Drive will be conducted, followed by tree plantation and campus beautification activities on the sixth day. The seventh day will feature health awareness programmes. On the eighth day, drainage systems and soak pits will be inspected. The ninth day will focus on cleaning the college grounds and surrounding areas. The tenth day will conclude with an audit and documentation to review the activities carried out during the drive.
College Principal K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, faculty members, and students are actively participating in the programme and spreading the message “Clean and Green Campus for Bright Future.” As part of the first day’s activities, Principal K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, and the faculty members and others, jointly unveiled the poster of the programme.
