
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JUNE 14, 2025: National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers belonging to the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women in Shatrajpalli of Vemulawada temple town organised a ‘Swachhata hi Seva’ campaign, focusing on cleanliness and waste management on the college premises on Saturday.
The event saw volunteers participating in a campus-wide cleanliness drive and other activities related to the removal of bushes and weeds and solid waste management as a precautionary measure to check the spread of diseases during the monsoons. The volunteers were empowered about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
Principal K Lavanya encouraged the NSS volunteers and staff to actively engage in the campaign, emphasising the importance of cleanliness and community service. The initiative was aimed at fostering a cleaner and more sustainable environment within the campus. NSS Programme Officer V Swapna, Advisory Council Members G Swapna and R Deepti, faculty members, and students actively participated in the event.
