
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 13, 2025: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunur, Karimnagar, has officially launched its special camp in Nagunur, on Saturday. The inaugural event was held to mark the beginning of a series of community-oriented programmes.
The ceremony was graced by E. Manohar, NSS Programme Coordinator of Satavahana University, Karimnagar, who attended as the Chief Guest. K. Murali, Retired Principal of SRR Degree and PG College, Karimnagar, attended as the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Mr Manohar guided the NSS volunteers on the significance of their participation, the goals of the programme, the challenges students face in today’s world, and their crucial role in contributing to society. Mr Murali emphasised the importance of NSS and shared his experiences from previous special camps, encouraging students to embrace a service-oriented mindset.
The event was presided over by T. Malathi, Principal of the college, with the presence of Vice Principal S. Padmaja, NSS Programme Officer K. Geetha Rani, Superintendent T. Suresh Kumar, and NSS Advisory Committee members G. Vasumathi and V. Ambika, along with the dedicated NSS volunteers.
On the first day of the camp, volunteers actively participated in community initiatives in Nagunur, including a Swachh Bharat (Clean India) campaign and an environmental protection drive.
