KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 11, 2024: The Telangana Grameena Bank (TGB) has paid tributes to Social Reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on the occasion of his 198th anniversary by garlanding his portrait at TGB regional office in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
TGB Regional Manager Prabhu Das, Karimnagr branch chief manager B Suresh, OBC association regional secretary K Venu Madhav, Assistant Regional Secretary P Kiran Prashanth, Liaison officer D Murali Krishna, SC and ST association organising secretary K Ramu and other branches managers and others also participated in the celebrations and paid floral tributes
Speaking on the occasion, the regional manager described Phule as a great social reformer and visionary who guided society towards a progressive path at a time when society was beset with superstitions. He also reminded that the Mahatma Phule strived for empowerment of women by providing education. He said that Phule also crusaded against untouchability and social justice to all sections of society.
